Donn Johnsoni am SOO ANGRY WITH PANERA RIGHT NOW!!! Today was my first experience, going to your Panera in the Bay Plaza mall (in the BRONX, N. Y.) & the young Lady that waited on me was sweet & professional & talked me through the process...i have SOO MANY complaints & when i went to your website to complain, there wasn't a place to register my complaint OR experience...& judging from your FB page that hasn't been updated since July, i don't think you take an interest in your clientele... VERY UPSETTING!!!! And after spending $15.00 on a sandwich & salad, I EXPECT MORE from your company

Colt GustafsonOne can list any number of ingredients in your foods which have more of a drastic effect on health then picking a random chemical sounding name. From the saturated fat laden pastries and some soups, to high amounts of Sodium Chloride across the menu (both with strong links to heart disease). to friggen water which you can make sound like the most dangerous thing on the planet without lying or exaggerating the truth once. Chemical shaming needs to STOP!

Brandy BatesSodium benzoate is not dangerous. There have been many studies in it, and none have recognized any problem with it being used as a preservative. Calcium is also used in fireworks, are you going to remove that from your products? Please quit chemical shaming, it's unnecessary.

Richard John WiesenFun fact: Panera Bread's cheese contains the chemical β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1→4)-D-glucose, which is indigestible to the vast majority of the population and is even used by pharmaceutical companies as a filler in pills.

Annika WhippleSo how did you take it out of the Apples??? It naturally occurs in Apples. Quit scaring people for no reason!! This is perfectly safe and makes food safe and a safe shelf life.

Tim BrunerThis ad is idiotic and attempts to prey on those who are ignorant to the basic laws of chemistry. Have fun removing this chemical that occurs naturally in the apples, berries, and other things you put in your salads.

Vee GrantThe service has really gone down at Panera! Used to be one of my favorite places, now not so much. A cashier was busy today and told me to try the kiosk, i had cash so that wasn't possible.

Rupert MorrisReally nice thing to do for Johnston city. BUT..... Sodium Benzoate occurs naturally in lots of foods. Apples to pick just one example. All the evidence shows it is a safe preservative, it's all about dosage. Anything at a high enough dose is harmful. A high enough dose of scary sounding dihydrogen monoxide (water) will kill you. In fact everything in our natural world is made of chemicals. I'm afraid I take this as another brand jumping on a bandwagon of chemical shaming and cashing in on misinformed fears about food production and reinforcing the naturalistic fallacy that all things "natural" are good and all things "artificial" are bad. Getting mauled by a bear is on of the most natural things that can happen to you. Life saving anti-biotics are artificial. Total science-fail by Panera.

Mario FelarcaInteresting how Panera Bread has no response to the comments and questions about this post. Tacit admission that they are simply running a fearmongering campaign in order to charge higher prices and to try to scare people into choosing them instead of other options?

Christina BaronThis is what mine looked like today. Also, no avocado. My office orders at least once a week and one or more out three orders is ALWAYS wrong. Last week my order didn't have egg or avocado. But to put such poor quality of food for people to eat - that's just gross. And these salads are not cheap!!!

Amanda PaulsOrdered my favorite chicken apple Fiji salad today, specified no nuts, that yes I am a severe nut allergy. Normally I have no issues. Confirmed when I got my bag that it was nut free- drove cross town and sat down to lunch to find the bottom of the container and my bag scattered with pecans. Such a waste of my money. I understand every place you eat has risks and mistakes happen. Panera used to be my one safe location that I knew would take me seriously, apparently not anymore.

Erin KammerYour "plant based" section of your menu isn't plant based. Dairy doesn't come from plants last I checked. 1 salad and a fruit cup drowning in a dairy menu is a big fail. Although I applaud your attempt to pull plant based people to your restaurants, but most of us are disappointed. How about actually offering plant based options instead of salads full of cheese and soups full of milk and then you won't look like trendy sell outs with a marketing gimmick that misses the entire audience you were attempting to aim at??

Dan LaFontaineYou're right it does Look tasty. Too bad your employees left a bad taste in my mouth. Ordered online. Went inside to pick it up. Two associates and a manager standing behind the counter. Not one customer in line. I walk up tell them I placed an order for pick up and gave them my last name. The older woman just looks at me and says, points "well it's probably over there". Not one smile, not one thank you. Your employees need to learn some etiquette and proper bedside manners. If you want the store location, then private message me. Unacceptable experience.

I hope that 'our' Panera stays in good favor ...

Armanda JohnsonI wish y'all would correct the problem with your horrible iced tea. Panera had excellent iced tea in the past. A couple of visits ago, the tea tasted old and moldy. I thought there might have been a problem with its prep or storage so I complained to the manager. When I returned a couple weeks later, the tea still tasted old and moldy. I don't know if y'all are using a different brand, but I hope the problem can be resolved. Otherwise, I'll have to decrease the frequency of my visits.

Linda MichaelsIf you are going to sell grilled cheese, you need to carry ketchup. My elderly Mom ordered this and nearly choked on it (too dry) because you don't carry ketchup. She wouldn't put mustard on it (the only thing you have). She threw her sandwich out. I wish you would carry something other than kettle chips too (much too hard for the elderly).

Lisa PriestMy family eats at Panera's at least twice a week and we buy the prepackaged soups, mac & cheese, etc. at our local Grocery Store. So I wasn't surprised to see an email in my inbox stating "You have been selected for a $100 Panera Bread Gift Card." I filled out the information and then was told my Gift Card was put towards the cost of a Skin & Eye Beauty Serum but I only had to pay $3.95 for shipping. Needless to say, I was very upset. I think we will be spending a lot less at Panera Bread and buying their items from the grocery store.

Carolyn RushingI am disgusted that a company so present & relevant in today's society would advertise on the CNN. This Media is not only offensive to the President of the USA & his Administration, but also to the millions of Americans who voted for this government, & ALSO those who use or buy your products. By the way MSNBC is just a bad. Please discontinue sponsoring CNN. Your advertising dollars support a Media based solely on anti-American propaganda. Your actions subsidize a show that spews lies, hate, conspiracy theories, & fake news about our President. Many are aware of your choices & urge you to put an end to such disrespect & show your RESPECT for President Trump, the USA, & the American Workers. Thank You.
